One-on-One GPS Navigation Training
Even basic handheld GPS receivers are packed with a lot of functions, features and options which can be a bit daunting for first time users. An added difficulty is that user manuals (mostly on CD) are not that easy to follow, with some features not properly explained - or even mentioned.
Locstat GPS Systems specialises in personal (one to one) GPS navigation courses to enable users to navigate safely and confidently with handheld GPS. One on One GPS navigation training is a very effective way to learn about GPS:
- Focus on the areas client wish to cover for their own particular applications
- Progress at a speed that client is comfortable with
- Focus on client's own GPS
- Date and venue that best suits client - weekdays or weekends
Courses are normally conducted at the Langwarrin Flora & Fauna Reserve - an ideal location with tree cover and numerous tracks making it a realistic GPS training environment. However, courses can be run in other open space environments preferred by the client, such as Jells Park; Westerfolds Park; Brimbank Park etc.
Courses are designed for handheld GPS and outdoor activities, and are not suitable for vehicle navigation systems.
Course participants need to wear clothing suitable for outdoor activites and good walking shoes, as well as hats/sunscreen etc for solar protection.
Course payments: Cash or cheque on the day or by prior bank transfer.
Rain checks for days where weather conditions are unsuitable.
On-going Customer Support: Customer support doesn't end once a course is undertaken. Free on-going email support is provided to existing clients for GPS user queries and problems.
Group Courses
Group courses can be arranged, and are very effective for special interest groups/clubs such as 4WD and prospectors etc where accurate navigation is a key issue. GPS navigation activities also make good outdoor team building, outdoor education activities etc
Group training is developed in conjunction with clients to fully meet their individual GPS navigation needs, and to cover off planning arrangements for the event.
Group courses can be held at any regional Victoria or interstate location.
