About Locstat GPS Systems
Roger Preece (the principal of Locstat GPS Systems) has a wide background in land navigation - starting with map/compass and working in the GPS industry since
hand-held GPS became a viable navigation tool for recreational users.
Experience covers: military navigation instruction; working in the GPS industry; and participation in outdoor activities such as bushwalking; mountain biking; rogaining.
Group training also available on request.
A hand-held GPS is a bit like having a map and compass in your pocket, although the many features, functions and options can initially be a bit daunting to use for navigation.
Locstat GPS Systems specialises in one-on-one GPS navigation training for outdoor enthusiasts: bushwalking; mountain biking; geocaching; prospecting; 4WD; adventure sports etc. One-on-One Courses available:
| Getting Started with GPS | A practical course for hand-held GPS such as the Garmin or Magellan range, with an optional extension for associated PC management software. |
| GPS Digital Mapping | Courses available for digital mapping programs such as OziExplorer; Memory Map; TrackRanger |
One-on-One GPS training: GPS courses are primarily designed as One-on-One training sessions - the most effective way to learn how to navigate with GPS as it provides:
- Focus on areas the client wish to cover for their own particular GPS navigation applications
Whilst primarily designed as One-on-One courses, they are also suitable as small group courses of 2-3 participants. Larger GPS group training also available on request.
On-going Customer Support: Customer support doesn't end once a course is undertaken. Free on-going email support available to existing clients for GPS user queries and problems.
